A Message from the Headteacher to all New Pupils Starting September 2017
Posted - 10 March 2017
I have great pleasure in welcoming you and your child to All Saints Catholic High School. We look forward to seeing you at the welcome meetings taking place in April, you will be contacted with your allocated date and time in the coming days.
It will be an opportunity for you to meet myself, members of the Year 7 team who will be the key to successful transition for your child from primary to secondary school.
Your child’s transition to All Saints will also involve:
A visit from a member of our staff to your child’s primary school to deliver welcome activities.
A transition day on Wednesday 5th July. All children will spend a day at All Saints working with our staff and meeting others within the year group.
New Intake Evening on Tuesday 27th or Wednesday 28th June. An opportunity for parents and carers to meet your child’s form tutor.
If your child has a specific learning or physical need, your child will also receive an additional visit from our Learning Support team. They may also have an additional support plan designed to support their transition.
- Year 7 Induction Day-Friday 8th September at Crosby Lake Activity Centre.
Please do not hesitate to contact the school on 0151 477 8740 if you need any further information or would like another visit to school, prior to this date.
Spring Term Return Date - January 2017
Posted - 12 December 2016
After careful consideration it has been decided to change the return date for the Spring Term for all pupils to Wednesday 4th January 2017.
We are conscious that many of the primary schools in the area are also returning on the 4th of January 2017 and we felt it appropriate, in order to support families, to mirror the primary schools return date.
Please also note that the staff training day on Friday 10th February 2017 will now be a normal teaching day for all pupils.

All Saints raised money for the Kirkby Foodbank during Advent. Thanks to all who gave so generously to our weekly collections. The donations will make a huge difference to Kirkby families.
Year 7 Bookbuzz
Posted - 01 December 2016
There was an early Christmas present for all Year 7 students who were allowed to choose a free book, thanks to the BookTrust, the largest reading charity in the UK. With a choice of 12 titles there was something for everyone. Our school library is open before, during and after school.
Remembrance Poppy Appeal 1916 - 2016
Posted - 11 November 2016
During November All Saints held a series of Remembrance Assemblies dedicated to those who have died serving their country. Year 8 students were addressed by an Irish Ranger who spoke of the tragic loss of life during the 141 days of the Battle of the Somme. All Saints has a well established tradition of supporting the Poppy Appeal and students and families gave generously once again. At 11am on the 11th of November the school fell quiet as two minutes silence were observed. All Saints was also invited to take part in the rededication of the Kirkby Cenotaph. We were honoured to accept.
