Careers Information

A young person’s career is the progress they make in learning and work. All young people need a planned programme of activities to help them choose 14-19 pathways that are right for them and to be able to manage their careers and sustain employability throughout their lives.

All Saints Catholic Centre For Learning:

Provides a careers programme to meet the needs of Learners which includes personal development and transferable skills.
Offers ‘employability’ skills including careers management and where appropriate enterprise skills.
In partnership with the Merseyside Connexions Service we provide individual careers guidance which is accessible, impartial, student focused, confidential and collaborative.
Provides the Resources, facilities and activities necessary to prepare learners for successful transition into employment or further study and enables them to effectively manage their individual career plans.

The careers programme includes careers education lessons, delivered through Ready to Learn sessions and also through many other areas of the curriculum. We also offer Careers guidance activities (group work and individual interviews), information and research activities. Work related learning (including one weeks work experience) and individual planning/portfolio activities.

All staff contribute to careers education through their roles as tutors and subject teachers.

Specialist sessions are delivered by the Ready to Learn team.

Every effort is made to ensure the Learners are given access to as much advice and guidance as they need in order to support them in making the decisions which will affect the choices they make for the future.
